This class is available to DVMs who have completed one of the Introduction to Canine and Feline Dentistry and Oral Surgery classes. This 8-hour class will consist of 4 hours of lecture followed by 4 hours of hands-on wet lab. The topics discussed in lecture will include periodontal disease, dental fractures, an introduction to endodontic pathology, and common extraction complications. The lab will include the basics of open and closed root planning, application of perioceutic products, odontoplasty with bonded sealants of uncomplicated crown fractures, difficult extractions, and surgical removal of root tips.
